    Waste Connections is Hiring a Roll Off Driver in Opa Locka, FL!

     

    We are looking for a **safety-conscious and experienced Roll Off Driver** to join our team in Opa Locka, FL. If you have a passion for driving and providing excellent service, we want to hear from you!

    SCHEDULE DETAILS:

    + A typical schedule for this position is **Monday – Friday** , with occasional Saturdays as needed, for a **50-60 hour work week** .

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Safely operate a **garbage truck** on specified routes to collect solid waste.

    + Read **electronic route sheets** and service each customer as assigned by the dispatcher.

    + Perform **routine inspections and maintenance** on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.

    + Perform **physically demanding tasks** , such as loading and unloading waste.

    + Operate **hydraulic hand controls** to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.

    + Interact **courteously** with customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

    + Extensive physical activity, including **strenuous physical work** ; lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds.

    + Work environment may involve exposure to **physical risks** (such as moving mechanical parts), requiring adherence to basic safety precautions.

    + Exposure to **outside weather conditions** , including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as **fumes and vibration** . Noise levels are typically moderate.

    MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    + **Valid CDL license** .

    + **3+ years of CDL driving experience** required (Roll off experience preferred)

    + **Clean driving record required**

    + Basic knowledge of **truck components** to complete **pre- and post-trip inspections** .

    + Ability to perform **manual labor without restrictions** .

    + **At least 2 years of stable job history** , with your most recent position being a **CDL driver** .
