• Landfill General Laborer

    Waste Connections (Graham, WA)


    We have an immediate opening for a Laborer at our LRI 304th Street Landfill in Graham, WA, a Waste Connections company.

     

    In this position, you’ll wear many hats, with primary responsibilities including flagging and directing traffic, operating site equipment, general labor, and supporting our environmental safety systems related to stormwater, landfill gas, and leachate control.

    This is a full-time, year-round position offering stability, consistent hours, and the opportunity to grow with a strong, reputable company.

    Pay & Schedule

    + Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM with occasional or monthly Saturday shifts

    + Starting pay range: $21.00 – $23.00 per hour, depending on experience

    Responsibilities

    + Perform various labor tasks throughout the landfill and transfer station

    + Flag and direct incoming traffic safely through the site

    + Assist and interact with customers in a professional manner

    + Operate minor site equipment as needed

    + Conduct general site cleanup and housekeeping

    + Support stormwater, landfill gas, and leachate control systems in line with environmental compliance standards

    What We’re Looking For

    + At least one year of experience in a physically demanding, outdoor work environment

    + Ability to work around odors, debris, and varying weather conditions

    + Capability to stand for 8–10 hours and lift up to 50 lbs regularly

    + A valid driver’s license and a clear driving record

    + Flexibility to assist at other sites as needed

    + A strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and doing the job right

    + This is a safety-sensitive position that requires the ability to pass a drug screen and pre-employment background check
