Position Summary:
The Sr. Manager, Global Strategic Marketing Front-End Innovation will lead key projects to advance the Wound Closure & Healing and Biosurgery innovation agenda. They will develop strategies, assess innovation opportunities, and form recommendations on how to enhance external partnerships. They will also identify unmet customer needs and partner closely with R&D to ensure successful pipeline development. Top candidates will possess a proven track record in marketing, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of market trends.
Duties & Responsibilities:
+ **Market Analytics** : Identify and prioritize growth opportunities (internal and external) for the Wound Closure & Healing and Biosurgery platforms using market research, customer/collaborator interviews, and cross-functional collaboration.
+ **Innovation Assessment** : Evaluate external innovations (pre-clinical to commercial assets) to identify high-priority opportunities, supporting due diligence and resource allocation through robust business analyses.
+ **Product Development** : Collaborate closely with R&D and cross-functional teams to provide marketing direction based on user needs and market requirements, ensuring successful product pipeline development and launch activities.
+ **Engagement and Influence** : Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and medical societies to gather feedback on strategies and uncover new opportunities.
+ **Cross-Functional Leadership** : Work collaboratively with Platform and Regional Marketing leads, Business Development, R&D, and Medical Affairs to provide marketing direction on customer needs and regional requirements.
+ **Financial Management** : Develop and present financial models and forecasts to support business critical initiatives and ensure the platforms meet their growth targets.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
+ A minimum of 6 years of related experience in marketing, sales, new product development, finance, or business development is required. 10 years of experience is preferred.
+ Proven track record of working in a global organization preferred.
+ Proven cross-functional and management influencing skills and ability to develop impactful relationships required.
+ Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or biomedical sciences industries is preferred.
+ Proficient in analytical techniques and financial modeling to drive strategic decision-making is preferred.
+ Strong project management and portfolio management skills, with the ability to lead multiple priorities in a dynamic environment is required.
+ Proven ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external partners is required.
+ Familiarity with Voice of the Customer (VOC) techniques to translate insights into actionable marketing strategies is preferred.
+ Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%, including occasional overnights and weekends is required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$120,000 - $207,000 (Bay Area adjusted range: $138,000 - $238,050)
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
