    If so, you might be the perfect fit for our next** **Assistant to the Chair & Residency Coordinator** **in the Department of Pathology.

     

    In this dynamic role, you’ll be the heartbeat of both our administrative operations and our residency program. You'll support department leadership while helping shape the future of medicine by coordinating an exceptional experience for residents and medical students.

     

    What You’ll Be Doing

     

    Support the Chair of Pathology** **with day-to-day operations, scheduling, and guest assistance—always with a helpful and welcoming attitude.

     

    Answer and screen calls** **like a pro—confident, courteous, and calm under pressure, using sound judgment and confidentiality.

     

    Coordinate communications** **with external contacts and organizations—sometimes high-profile—while arranging meetings and managing department requests.

     

    Manage key documents** **such as residency manuals, CVs, licenses, and compliance materials.

     

    Keep our residency program running smoothly** **, from schedules and records to recruitment and onboarding of new residents.

     

    Stay accreditation-ready** **, supporting credentialing processes and ensuring all guidelines are followed with care and precision.

     

    Be the ultimate team player** **, helping out with conference room bookings, mail, copying, and front desk support as needed.

     

    Represent the department professionally** **, making every visitor, resident, and staff member feel supported and respected.

     

    Stay sharp on compliance** **, understanding and following regulations, policies, and the corporate Code of Conduct.

     

    What You Bring to the Table

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Health Sciences, Business, Education, Public Administration), or equivalent education and experience

     

    At least 5 years of progressively responsible administrative experience, ideally with an academic or medical education component

     

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools—especially Word, PowerPoint, and email platforms

     

    Exceptional communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a natural customer-service mindset

     

    Ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines, stay organized, and maintain confidentiality

     

    Strong judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively

     

    Attention to detail when it comes to managing records, policies, schedules, and documentation

    Bonus Points If You Have:

    Experience with** **accreditation or credentialing** **processes in a healthcare or academic setting
