• Job Summary:

As a **Technician** , you'll play a key role in ensuring the attraction runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently every single day. From maintaining lights and sounds to keeping rides running and displays dazzling, you'll help deliver an unforgettable guest experience. 🎡🎶

Qualifications & Experience

• Key Responsibilities:

• 🛠️ Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair systems including HVAC, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing

• 💡 Perform preventative maintenance to ensure peak operation of themed attractions

• 🎨 Support custodial, lighting, painting, and general facility upkeep

• 📽️ Troubleshoot and maintain AV equipment for exhibits and attractions

• 🧰 Install/replace projectors, doors, bulbs, wiring, and more

• 🧾 Complete work orders, inspections, and repairs with attention to detail

• 🔌 Install data cables and computer outlets; repair control devices

• 🧼 Maintain safety protocols and clean, organized workspaces

• 👷 Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations

• 📦 Assist with shipping/receiving and exhibit installation

• 🚨 Report safety hazards and ensure fire and safety systems are maintained

• Education & Experience:

• 📘 High School diploma or GED required

• 🧑‍🔧 At least 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience

• 🎠 Experience in a technical/themed attraction or service industry is preferred

• 🔩 Skilled with mechanical/electrical systems, pneumatics, AV, networks & carpentry

• 💻 Comfortable using computer tools and diagnostics

• Certifications:

• Must be able to obtain or possess relevant certifications/licensure (e.g., OSHA, AV, Electrical, etc.)

• Will be required to obtain any necessary certifications within 30 days of hire

• Travel & Schedule:

• Some local travel may be required 🚗

• Must be available for flexible shifts — including mornings, evenings, weekends & holidays

• Safety-first mindset is essential for yourself, your teammates, and guests 🦺

• Report incidents promptly and assist in investigations if needed

• Comply with Merlin’s Health, Safety & Security Policies

• Physical Demands:

• Stand/walk throughout shift

• Lift up to 70 lbs 🏋️

• Climb ladders, bend, kneel, reach, and use various tools and equipment

• Operate heavy machinery and power tools

• Work indoors/outdoors in varying temperatures ☀️❄️
