Purpose:
As an HR Business Partner at Athene, you will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic influencer to senior leaders in insurance operations. Leveraging deep knowledge of business strategy, workforce dynamics, and HR practices, you’ll shape people strategies that drive performance and culture. This role combines strategic insight with hands-on consulting to help leaders build strong teams, make data-driven decisions, and foster a culture rooted in Athene’s values — accountability, ownership, collaboration, and resilience.
Accountabilities:
Key Responsibilities:• Strategic Consulting: Advise leaders with a consultative approach to align people strategies with long-term business goals and culture.• HR Coordination: Link business units with HR functions to drive cohesive, enterprise-wide solutions.• Talent Management: Lead performance and talent processes, including succession planning and development needs.• Engagement & Culture: Help leaders act on engagement insights and build a culture of trust and collaboration.• Change & Effectiveness: Support change initiatives with data-driven guidance and best practices.• Compensation Alignment: Connect performance with rewards; support pay processes and promote understanding of total rewards.• HR Data & Insights: Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.• Tech & Process Enablement: Champion tools like Workday and learning platforms to streamline HR processes and decisions.
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualifications:
+ Experience: 7+ years of experience in strategic HR business partnering or a related HR role.
+ Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
Skills:
+ Communication & Influence: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information and influence stakeholders at all levels.
+ Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, manage projects and implement effective action plans.
+ Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday) and other HR technologies.
+ Compliance & Integrity: Deep knowledge of employment law, paired with strong ethical judgment and discretion in handling sensitive matters.
