The Coeur d'Alene Resort is seeking an experienced Audio Visual (AV) Technician to join our Convention Center team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to ensure events run smoothly and is comfortable managing a variety of AV equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Job Overview:
+ Location: Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
+ Schedule: Full-time; must be available for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
+ Experience: Previous AV or technical support experience required
+ Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Key Responsibilities:
+ Set up, operate, and break down audio, video, and lighting equipment for events and meetings
+ Troubleshoot technical issues promptly to minimize disruptions
+ Assist presenters and event staff with equipment setup and operation
+ Maintain and inventory AV equipment, ensuring everything is in working order
+ Collaborate with event planners and vendors to meet specific AV requirements
+ Train staff or clients on the use of AV equipment as needed
Qualifications:
+ Proficiency with AV equipment, including microphones, projectors, sound systems, and video cameras
+ Strong problem-solving and communication skills
+ Basic knowledge of lighting and multimedia systems
+ Flexibility to adapt to changing event needs and schedules
+ Technical certification is a plus but not required
