Overview

The Night Janitorial Manager is responsible for overseeing all janitorial activities during the evening and overnight hours. This role ensures that cleaning operations are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with client expectations and company standards. The manager supervises a team of custodians, coordinates work schedules, maintains inventory, and conducts quality inspections.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00/yr

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

**401(k)** – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Supervise and lead janitorial staff during the night shift, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on time.

+ Assign daily duties and schedules to janitorial team members.

+ Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met or exceeded.

+ Train new and existing employees on safety protocols, cleaning procedures, and equipment use.

+ Monitor and maintain cleaning supply inventory; request and order supplies as needed.

+ Address any issues, complaints, or special requests from clients in a timely and professional manner.

+ Ensure adherence to company policies, safety guidelines, and OSHA regulations.

+ Prepare shift reports, attendance records, and incident logs.

+ Support recruitment and onboarding of night shift personnel when necessary.

+ Coordinate with day management to ensure seamless operations and handovers.

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.

+ 2+ years of experience in custodial supervision, preferably in a commercial or industrial environment.

+ Strong leadership and team management skills.

+ Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

+ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

+ Proficient in using cleaning equipment and supplies.

+ Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

+ Must be able to pass background checks and drug screening.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

+ Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.

+ Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment noise is expected.

+ This is an on-site, night-shift position with occasional weekend or holiday duties.
