    This role is for the Casting Technology Leader. within Integrated Manufacturing Engineering. Engineering associated with Casting manufacturing processes and technology. Owns/influences action planning, budgets, operating plans, and industry strategy. The role is guided by operating policy. Works with and leads cross functional teams. The role may have a major impact on a commodity or part family within a value stream or P&L. High levels of evaluative judgment and operational acumen are required to achieve outcomes. Role includes leadership for SQDC of casting suppliers and processes, Technical Supplier Development, Improvements, Cost Out and/or Technology Breakthroughs.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    + Technology People Leader with senior professional direct reports. Includes roles that are experts in their discipline, requiring professional or thoughtful leadership.

    + A job at this level requires a people leader with ability to hire and develop talent. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy. Basic knowledge of related job disciplines.

    + Requires commercial awareness, and is expected to influence the development of strategy, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.

    + Requires strong partnership with Sourcing and Casting Supplier teams

    + Lead functional teams or projects with critical resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems that impact the function.

    + Presents business or technical discipline solutions to leaders. Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view. Influences peers to take action and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.

    + Interaction with adjacent functions needed to solve issues. Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis.

    + Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own team to help arrive at a decision and drive execution.

    + Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.

    + Leads others to find creative solutions within complex manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Employs sophisticated operational/program management, manufacturing or engineering techniques.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing).

    + Additional 5 years experience in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
