Sodexo is seeking a Catering Manager at Creighton University in Omaha, NE. This role will have oversight of catering activities for a medium to large-sized location/unit and complex events with a high degree of hands-on involvement in catering solutions. The Catering Manager will assist the Catering Director with a large number of high-profile events and must possess strong client interaction skills.

What You'll Do

+ Train front-of-house staff and develop steps of service. Enforce performance and service standards to provide exceptional customer service, ensure team productivity, and improve client satisfaction scores.

+ Organize events, ensure on-time setup, and ensure employees offer consistently superior service while adhering to policies provided in the employee handbook and during training.

+ Collaborate with other department managers to ensure successful event execution. Be actively involved in events to collect in-the-moment feedback.

+ Be involved in daily operational procedures to ensure adequate staffing levels and required product levels.

+ Conduct constant event walk-throughs to evaluate and meet service quality and customer satisfaction standards.

+ Conduct pre-shift meetings to ensure organizational efficiency and continuous safety training.

What You Bring

+ Previous experience facilitating communication between sales, culinary, and front-of-house teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of all orders, including last-minute needs, efficiently and collaboratively.

+ Ability to adhere to timekeeping and labor cost control procedures by maintaining staff payroll and schedule in Kronos.

+ Attention to detail and ability to review all catering event orders and weekly catering sheets to ensure accuracy.

+ Positive, practical solutions to client queries while adhering to our catering policies and procedures and offering solutions to staff.

MinimumEducation Requirement - Associate's Degreeor equivalent experience

MinimumManagement Experience - 2 years

MinimumFunctional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
