    General Purpose

     

    This position is responsible for administrative services (sourcing and management of copiers, fax machines, and office supplies), records management, facility project management support and budget management for facility site operations, with a company-wide impact. Responsible for establishing policy and procedures to comply with corporate governance. Responsible for management of energy management systems that support company data centers. Responsible for the development, prioritization, and management of capital budgeting for field and corporate sites that has a substantial impact on company goals. Responsible for ensuring governance and compliance for the administrative services function as well as for facility operations (contract management) and necessary document control and website management. Establishes strategic business objectives and plans in support of Company’s strategic goals. Manages and allocates financial and employee resources. Responsible for selecting, coaching, developing, and performance management of employees. Implements and supports Company programs and policies.

    Responsibilities

    + Develops, prioritizes, and monitors capital and operational budgets, forecasts and costs; oversees or ensures performance of all functions related to budgeting, accounting, forecasting, accounts payable, payroll, procurement, human resources for responsible areas.

    + Develops strategy for sourcing and providing administrative support equipment and supplies.

    + Monitors local systems for compliance with security and IT requirements, and ensures that deliverables support project management activities for facilities operations.

    + Manages company resources and services in a cost-effective manner to meet operational needs. Maintains the appropriate standards of performance and governance.

    + Provides training, policies, and instructions for department functions.

    + Provides support to the business processes required to effectively meet the many challenges of the business including providing input for improvements, launching of improved processes and mentoring of staff in the handling of process obligations.

    + Provides oversight in the delivery of the various communication tools to increase effectiveness and awareness.

    + Represents the department on various Company teams.

    + Prepare and present documents and reports to all levels of management.

    + Supervise personnel performing administrative functions.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar related business field or equivalent combination of education and experience resulting in the proven ability to perform the duties of this job.

    + Seven years of finance, accounting, business management or related work experience.

    + Three years of people management experience either as functional manager or people manager.

    + Demonstrated strong written and interpersonal communication skills.

    + Well-developed computer skills, with an emphasis on a variety of applications including Excel and Word.

    + Proven ability to work independently with complex issues and to effectively handle multiple responsibilities, interact with and influence others across the organization, and prioritize work with minimal direction.

    + Demonstrated effective team and leadership skills.

    + Travel is required.

    Preferences

    + Understanding of legal and regulatory issues relating to HR and business functions.

    + Working knowledge of Company policies and procedures.

    + Knowledge and experience in the Electric Utility industry.
