Caterpillar is looking to add a Financial Planning and Analysis accountant to be a contributing performer, performing financial/decision support accounting work that supports business processes. Here you will have the opportunity to develop and expand the understanding of Caterpillar’s business and accounting practices, system, and procedures. What You Will Do:
+ Internal management accounting, including profit center, service center, distribution services, strategic business, integrated manufacturing, and component business unit reporting.
+ Estimating various forecast and budget scenarios as needed based on changing business conditions.
+ Financial accounting including consolidation, analysis, and communication of product group result.
+ Presentation and explanation of results to management
+ Communication of results to corporate offices
+ Interacts with multiple functional areas and level of authority.
What You Will Have:
+ **Accounting:** Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.
+ **Financial Reporting and Analysis:** Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports. Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
+ **Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving:** Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
+ **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
+ **Education/ Experience** : 4-year degree, preferably in accounting. Non-accounting degree requires minimum 18 hours of college level accounting or approved accounting certification. 1-2 years of accounting experience.

Summary Pay Range:
$87,480.00 - $131,280.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
