The Global Security Operational Security Advisor position is based in Houston, TX and is primarily responsible for the delivery of security services to secure and protect the Chevron Corporation Headquarters offices in Houston, TX, as well as offices in San Ramon, CA and the Washington, DC. The position reports to the Operational Security Team Supervisor.
This position entails regular periods of travel throughout United States with occasional travel to international locations. Travel may occur at short notice.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
+ Responsible for the oversight and supervision of the physical, technical and procedural security programs to secure the people, property and information contained within the Chevron Headquarters facilities in Houston, TX and San Ramon, CA. Additional responsibilities for the Washington DC office with functional oversight to provide guidance to the designated facility security officer for the Washington DC office.
+ Manage the implementation of policy and procedures for the Global Security Operations Center and support incident responses as required.
+ Manage all aspects of the security contracts required to protect our people and assets at designated facilities/locations. Ensures service providers are meeting contract requirements and provide the requisite level of service required to successfully mitigate physical, technical, and procedural risk. Establishes and monitors performance metrics and ensures agreed goals/targets are achieved, highlighting deficiencies as necessary.
+ Reviews the development and implementation of security procedures and protocols at each location to ensure they meet Global Security standards.
+ Responsible for implementing policy and procedures for Global Security’s responsibilities related to the corporation’s multi-stakeholder Workplace Violence Policy. Establishes appropriate plans for the three assigned facilities.
+ Identifies and collaborates with stakeholders to address gaps across the areas of security operations (physical, procedural, technical) for the office locations.
+ Ensures security related drills are conducted.
+ Conducts security risk assessments to mitigate threats and best protect company people and assets.
+ Develops and assesses threat information to determine impact on company staff and operations.
+ Provides support for crisis management and business resiliency efforts, both for drills and incidents. Participates in meetings of Chevron’s Houston Regional Crisis Management Committee.
+ Maintains and develops working relationships with key stakeholders, to include service providers, facilities management, emergency management, and law enforcement.
+ Conducts and manages security support for building special events, including VIP visits and board meetings.
Required Qualifications:
+ 10 or more years of experience in intelligence, law enforcement, corporate or government security.
+ A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or higher.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of protective security and risk management principles.
+ Candidate must be able to communicate effectively and concisely both verbally and in writing.
+ Excellent planning, analytical and leadership skills.
+ Ability to work within a team as well as individually.
+ Candidates must be self-directed, demonstrate initiative, be able to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines, and work with minimal guidance.
+ Good working knowledge of standard Microsoft applications.
+ Valid passport and ability to travel internationally and on short notice.

Expatriate assignments **will not be** considered.
