    Position Overview:

    Houston Methodist Sugar Land is seeking a **fellowship-trained Movement Disorders Neurologist** to join our expanding **multispecialty neurology group** . This is a unique opportunity to establish a subspecialty-focused practice within a supportive, community-based hospital that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence in patient care.

     

    Join a growing team of neurologists that includes both generalists and subspecialists in neurophysiology, stroke, movement disorders, epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, psychiatry, and neuropsychology. The practice benefits from a strong referral network, advanced diagnostic resources, and a multidisciplinary care team that includes dedicated social workers, neurohospitalists, and neurocritical care physicians. There is also close collaboration with a wide range of specialties throughout the hospital.

    Responsibilities:

    + Diagnose and manage a full spectrum of movement disorders including Parkinson’s disease, tremor, dystonia, ataxia, and Huntington’s disease

    + Perform botulinum toxin injections and DBS evaluations/programming (if applicable)

    + Provide outpatient consults and ongoing management in a clinic setting

    + Collaborate with neurosurgery, rehab, and other departments for coordinated patient care

    + Participate in general neurology call with full team support

    + Help grow the movement disorders program and contribute to community education and quality initiatives

    Qualifications:

    + MD or DO with Board Certification/Eligibility in Neurology

    + Fellowship training in Movement Disorders required

    + Texas medical license or eligibility for licensure

    + Commitment to patient-centered care and team-based practice
