    Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

     

    Unit: Oncology Infusion

     

    Shift: may vary 8:00am-4:30pm, 8:30-5:00pm, 9a-5:30pm

     

    Status: Full time/80 hours per pay

     

    Facility: Atrium Medical Center

     

    The Oncology Infusion/PICC Nurse is a registered nurse (RN) who partners with and advocates for patients/families/significant others to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support which impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment. The RN functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in the practice of Nursing. The RN utilizes the nursing process in conjunction with evidence-based principles to care for a diverse caseload of patients within the department scope of service. The RN serves as guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader and sentry. The RN collaborates with and guides care delivered by the inter-professional team. The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics and applicable regulatory standards.

     

    **Minimum Level of Education Required:** Associate degree

    • **Preferred educational qualifications** : BSN Preferred; BSN Completion or Professional Certification may be required.

    Licensure/Certification/Registration

    • Valid Ohio RN license

    • Current CPR certification required at the time of hire.

    • Fundamentals of Administration

    • Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification or must obtain within 6 months

    • OCN certification – must obtain within 1 year of eligibility

    • ACLS required within 90 days of hire

    Experience

    **Preferred** **experience:** Prefer expertise in peripheral venipuncture and expert assessment skills related to vascular access and IV therapy access and IV therapy
