    Your New Role…

    This position will be responsible for providing environmental health and safety guidance to Warner Bros. Studio Operations for all stages, backlot sets, and/or offices at our studio lot, Ranch lot, and off-lot properties such as warehouses and office buildings. This position may assist with providing environmental guidance on U.S. and international productions for Warner Bros. TV, Warner Bros. Pictures, New Line Cinema, DC Studios, Warner Bros. Horizon, Telepictures, and WBD-associated entities producing theatrical motion pictures, television, and other content. This person will work closely with the Director of Production & Facilities Safety, production personnel, regulatory agencies, and various other WBD departments to reinforce environmental health and safety standards in all our productions and studio lot. This position may also be asked to work on general safety and environmental matters.

    Your Role Accountabilities…

    + **PRIORITIZE** : This position will assist the Director of Production & Facilities Safety on projects that may have a high-risk potential and will help take appropriate actions to increase environmental safety factors. This position will also collaborate with various departments to determine when a WB Safety presence is needed, how to enhance environmental and regulatory compliance, and how to develop relationships with WB departments and backlot crews.

    + **PRESENCE:** This position will assist in taking appropriate actions to increase environmental and regulatory compliance on soundstages, backlot facades, and off-lot properties.

    + **COMMUNICATE CONCERNS** : In order to reduce foreseeable/potential environmental hazards, this position will assist in discussions on potential concerns with appropriate department heads. Concerns may include: storm drain and waste water management, UST and AST, hazardous waste, hazard communication, confined space, DOT manifest, industrial hygiene sampling, indoor air quality, asbestos, lead paint, and mold, CUPA CERS, AQMD, etc.

    + **ANTICIPATING ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES** : This position will participate in discussions to anticipate potential environmental concerns during the construction project phase. With a focus on minimizing project impact and delays, the role will collaborate effectively with various Warner Bros. departments to eliminate or mitigate environmental hazards.

    + **RESPOND FLEXIBLY AND APPROPRIATELY** : This position requires flexibility and strong problem-solving skills. When a project's scope of work is expected to impact the backlot, studio tours, or on-lot clients, these elements must be discussed with WB Studio Operations and WB Studio Services groups. If unresolved employee safety concerns persist, this position may need to remain on-site and provide oversight until a resolution is achieved.

    + **REGULATORY LIAISON** : This position will assist in collaborating with applicable local regulatory agencies and the WB Burbank Lot and studio locations regarding enforcement of any government mandates. This position will assist in implementing WB Safety programs, studio protocols, recordkeeping, and will also assist with notifications and reporting required by specific City, County, State, Federal, Agencies for WBSO Departments, and will assist productions in obtaining EPA ID Numbers as needed.

    + **PARTICIPATE IN INVESTIGATIONS** : Address and assist with agency investigations, find any problems, eliminate or minimize fines, maintain WB’s standards, and avoid repeat violations.

    + **IMPROVE ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH PROGRAMS** : This position will assist the department in implementing environmental programs, including hazardous waste, electronic waste, hazard communication, confined space, stormwater and wastewater management, AQMD, CUPA CERS, asbestos operations and maintenance, lead-based paint, mold, and more.

    Qualifications & Experience…

    + High School diploma required

    + Bachelors / Master’s degree in relevant area preferred

    + Safety/Environmental certification(s) preferred

    + 5-10 years of environmental health & safety experience (motion picture production safety experience is a plus)

    + Candidates with knowledge of hazardous waste, hazardous materials, asbestos, lead-based paint, AQMD, CERS, UST, AST, stormwater and sewer discharge is preferred

    + This position must have the ability to show great flexibility and problem-solving skills.

    + Strong skills in researching, understanding and communicating environmental regulatory compliance requirements

    + Ability to create safety materials, memos, and bulletins for internal departments

    + Ability to lead internal projects and teams

    + Strong technical writing skills are required for this position as this person will be interacting with legal teams and regulatory agencies

    + Strong communication skills are required for this position as this person will be interacting with all levels of personnel on a regular basis, and must be able to do so with great tact, patience and maturity to help influence satisfactory outcomes with a broad variety of clients

    In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $87,500.00 - $162,500.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
