North Carolina Surgery is seeking a full time hospital employed Plastic Surgeon to join their growing Plastic Surgery team with a focus on Breast Reconstruction. A strong interest in reconstructive plastic surgery and community-based plastic surgery is highly desirable. Opportunity:

+ Focus of practice will be implant based and oncoplastic breast reconstruction with opportunity for cosmetic and general reconstruction

+ Strong collaborative relationships with 5 breast surgeons (fellowship trained), high volume practice

+ Based in Raleigh with coverage of UNC Rex Holly Springs Hospital

+ Surgeries performed at UNC Rex Hospitals and Ambulatory Surgery Centers

+ Candidates must be Board Certified in Plastic Surgery

+ Interest in reconstructive plastic surgery is desired

+ Shared Weekend/Night Call coverage

+ No teaching expectations

Education Requirements:

• Active member of the Rex Hospital Medical Staff, including meeting the Board Certification requirements. Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

• DEA;MD

• BLS

Professional Experience Requirements:

• Prefer prior hospitalist experience.

Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:

• Language Skills: Should be able to communicate proficiently in English.

REASONING ABILITY

High-level quantitative and qualitative reason skills are essential in order to diagnosis medical and clinical issues presented by patients.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

North Carolina Medical License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification preferred. Board certified in Internal Medicine.
