Job Summary
Acuity is seeking a highly motivated and experienced solution architect that will be responsible for the analysis, design, coding, and launch of complex software projects & products in the Digital Commerce Experience domain, including both corporate and partner-facing solutions. This role involves working with various backend and front-end teams that are globally located to deliver scalable, secure, and cloud-native enterprise solutions.
The architect will work closely with Enterprise Architecture, AI and software teams to design, develop, test, debug, and implement software components, tools, and utilities. A key aspect of this position is ensuring system performance, availability, and efficiency through performance testing and implementation monitoring.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Generative AI (GenAI) frameworks, cloud technologies (Azure/AWS), mobile application development, DevOps culture, and centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting capabilities.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
• Lead the architecture and development of large, complex CPQ and Digital Commerce projects, including GenAI and cloud integrations, involving multiple vendors and advanced technologies.
• Provide hands-on expertise in assessing emerging technologies, and in architecting, designing, coding, testing, and deploying enterprise-grade solutions.
• Collaborate with Product teams to define the vision and technology roadmap for CPQ, configurators, and submittal engines, apply best practices, present to stakeholders, and secure approvals.
• Support implementation readiness, promote transparency, and communicate the business value of architecture decisions to all stakeholders.
• Deliver expert input and build business cases for enhancements in application security and user access management.
• Design, develop, test, and launch applications and services supporting multiple enterprise initiatives.
• Develop cloud, mobile, DevOps, and automation solutions, ensuring modern and scalable architecture.
• Drive architectural vision within technical domains and business functions; ensure direction aligns with broader enterprise strategies.
• Evaluate cross-functional impacts of proposed changes across systems, tech stacks, and business workflows.
• Translate business needs into practical, cost-effective, and scalable technology solutions.
• Define technical architecture and patterns for microservices; design scalable, reusable components.
• Standardize architecture documentation using modeling tools and best practices (e.g., C4 models).
• Work independently, manage competing priorities, delegate tasks when necessary, and guide engineering teams toward strategic goals.
• Design cloud-native solutions on Azure (multi-cloud compatible), refactoring legacy apps into event-driven microservices.
• Lead the design and deployment of Generative AI applications integrated with semantic search across enterprise document systems.
• Implement DevOps automation including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and modern deployment workflows.
• Develop RESTful APIs and streaming microservices to support real-time data delivery and integration.
Preferred Skills and Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
+ 10+ years of experience in software development with a focus on application development and cloud architecture.
+ Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.) and expertise in cloud architecture (Azure and AWS)
+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
+ Experience working with multinational teams is a strong plus.
+ Strong understanding of distributed systems, including experience with microservices architecture, Domain Driven Design (DDD), and event driven architecture – Event hub / Kafka / Service Bus etc.
+ Experience with architectural design patterns (MVC, MNNM etc)
+ Deep expertise in Cloud computing & containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) – primarily on the Azure platform.
+ Strong understanding of .Net technologies, including .Net Core & .Net framework. Experience with Agile development methodologies.
+ Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, containerization, infrastructure-as-code). Experience with ARM templates, Bicep templates, Go, Ansible, Python are a plus.

The range for this position is $150,900.00 to $271,600.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
