    Job Title: Strategic Site Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor

     

    Summary:The Operations and Logistics Supervisor will oversee daily scheduling and execution to ensure timely and complete order fulfillment (On Time In Full – OTIF). Working closely with the material handling team, this individual will lead by example to uphold environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) standards, striving for 100% compliance. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all logistics activities align with our commitment to safety, productivity, quality, and exceptional customer service.

     

    Success in this role requires strong leadership, a clear understanding of logistics best practices, and the ability to reinforce policies and procedures through consistent, hands-on supervision. The supervisor will operate in alignment with Momentive’s Core Competencies, Code of Conduct, and our Collective Bargaining Agreement.

     

    This position reports directly to the Planning and Logistics Leader at our Sistersville, WV site and offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact within a high-performing and safety-driven team.

    Responsibilities Include:

    EHS

    + Ensure the safety of all employees, contractors, carriers, and visitors through strict adherence to global and local EHS regulations.

    + Lead hazard elimination initiatives and short-term EHS programs to address facility and process needs.

    + Enforce compliance with Momentive's EHS Management System and site policies.

    + Maintain 100% completion of required safety training for direct reports and model personal safety leadership.

     

    Compliance

     

    + Ensure all logistics operations comply with DOT, IATA, IMDG, HazMat, and internal Momentive standards.

    + Maintain proper documentation (permits, MOCs, BoLs) and operate within permit boundaries.

    + Oversee adherence to ISO standards and regulatory requirements for occupational, environmental, and plant safety.

     

    Operations

     

    + Supervise daily shipping/receiving and ensure OTIF execution with zero safety incidents or defects.

    + Manage team scheduling, timecards, vacation/OT, and labor allocation to meet production needs efficiently.

    + Resolve logistics issues involving paperwork, equipment, or third-party drivers.

    + Develop team capabilities through coaching, performance reviews, and continuous improvement (CI) efforts.

    + Promote preventive maintenance and cross-functional collaboration with production and maintenance teams.

    + Lead Tier I/II meetings, support QIP initiatives, and act as a visible leader on the floor.

    + Maintain strong union relations and provide strategic input for site-level goals.

     

    Communications

     

    + Effectively communicate schedule changes, safety updates, and operational needs to internal teams, external stakeholders, and carriers.

    + Identify and communicate potential risks to safe and timely schedule execution.

    Qualifications:

    The following are required for the role

     

    + High School Diploma or equivalent

    + 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role

    + Proven leadership in driving process improvements and team development

    + Strong focus on safety, with solid understanding of EHS standards and compliance

    + Skilled in problem solving, data analysis, and logistics troubleshooting

    + Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, manage change, and deliver measurable results

    + Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office, with working knowledge of inventory and workflow systems

    + Effective communicator with a strategic mindset and strong sense of ownership

     

    The following are preferred for this role

     

    + Experience in continuous improvement and root cause analysis

    + Strong SAP proficiency and logistics experience

    + Background in chemical operations, including DOT and ISO 9000 compliance

    + Experience working in a multi-national chemical company

    + Proven leadership with direct reports and a track record of effective team management

    What We Offer:Base Pay Range: $67,600 - $99,110

     

    The actua l salary offered i s determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill set s, and geography. Local geographic pay differentials may not be reflected in the above pay range and will be discussed with you by a member of the HR team when applicable .     Additionally, this role is eligible for incentive or sales variable compensation payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company's incentive plans, the Company's financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.
