    The following position is to join our Enterprise Services AZ Team:

    As a Fire Prevention Inspector-Site Safety Specialist, the candidate will be responsible for fire prevention activities including area fire inspections, fire extinguisher management, issuance of hot work permits, sprinkler system shutdowns-refills, and related activities.

    Primary Responsibilities

    + The candidate will enforce company safe practice rules - regulations and must be proficient in interpreting Federal, State, and Local fire and building code applications.

    + The candidate will assist in developing fire prevention - pre-fire plans and participate in fire and disaster - emergency evacuation drills.

    + The candidate will Instruct and lead safety related training activities.

    + The candidate will respond to emergencies such as fire, hazmat, and hazardous conditions.

    + The candidate will document and maintain accurate reports - records in a timely manner.

    + The candidate will represent Facilities during company safety audits.

    + The candidate will represent Facilities at Design Review events.

    + The candidate will provide Facilities support for various company events.

    + The candidate will participate in any Fire Prevention-Site Safety activities as required by the Fire Prevention Bureau.

    Qualifications You Must Have: Required Qualifications

    + This role typically requires a bachelor’s degree in EE or ME or related discipline and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in building, infrastructure, and maintenance projects, or an advanced degree and 3 years of experience, however in the absence of a degree 9 years of relevant experience is required .

    + At least 3 years' experience in Safety, Emergency Preparedness, Fire Fighting, Fire Prevention, or other closely related experience

    + At least 3 years of experience with the incident command system.

    + Ability to interpret fire alarm and fire sprinkler drawings and prepare and present verbal and written reports, both scheduled and as needed.

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    + Previous experience as a fire fighter, fire prevention officer, or as a first responder.

    + Active US DOD Secret clearance or higher

    + Experience with MS Office

    + Experience working as a site safety inspector.

    + Certification in Fire Prevention

    + Experience with hazardous material storage compliance.

    + Prior experience leading, mentoring or managing people

    The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

     

    RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

    This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
