    Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

    Summary

    This role oversees the compliance and administrative functions within the Human Resources department. It ensures the accurate and efficient implementation of attendance policies and bi-annual status checks in line with our Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Additionally, this position supervises HR Assistants who manage attendance infraction disciplines and support the interactive and accommodations processes for Team Members with leave or accommodation needs. The role also involves maintaining front-line Team Member job descriptions, ensuring they comply with employment laws and adhere to CBAs.

    Essential Functions

    + Team Leadership & Development

    + Supervise a team of six HR Assistants responsible for supporting attendance-related policies and procedures.

    + Identify development opportunities to build bench strength and support continuous growth within the HR Assistant team.

    + Policy & Compliance

    + Ensure consistent and equitable application of attendance and reasonable accommodation policies.

    + Partner with Labor Relations to ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and assist with attendance-related grievances and status checks.

    + Lead updates to HR policies and procedures in response to changes in employment law or CBAs.

    + Lead the annual review of front-line job descriptions to ensure alignment with employment law, internal policies, and CBAs.

    + Conduct regular audits of the Seasonal Supervisor spreadsheet and pay rates for accuracy and compliance.

    + Leave & Accommodations Support

    + Provide guidance through interactive conversations, particularly when attendance is impacted by leave or accommodation needs.

    + Serve as a liaison between the HR Assistants and the Leave & Accommodations team to resolve cases involving potential leaves or accommodations.

    + Operations & Documentation

    + Oversee and continuously improve HR operations related to attendance, status checks, and compliance workflows.

    + Maintain organized documentation by keeping the shared drive, HR Teams channel, and Incident Report repository up to date.

    + Own and maintain the Department Calendar and Cyclical Calendar, including regular updates to the HR contact sheet.

    + Communication & Change Management

    + Manage communication of HR policy or process updates across platforms (e.g., Team Universal, HR FAQs, Attendance Brochures, onboarding/offboarding materials

    Qualifications/Requirements

    + Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Management, or equivalent experience.

    + At least 5 years of HR experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a compliance- or administration-focused HR role.

    + Experience managing HR systems and working in regulated or audit-heavy environments.

    + At least 2 years of experience in leading and developing staff professionals.

    + Proficiency in HRIS platforms and the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and 365 Forms).

    + Ability to analyze data and produce clear, concise reports and action plans.

    + Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics to diverse audiences.

    + Project management mindset with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

    + Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

    Additional Requirements

    + This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.

     

    This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $95,000 - $110,000 (bonus eligible)
