Laboratory Technical Manager

**Salary:** $90,000–$110,000 (Relocation assistance available)

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a proactive Laboratory Technical Manager to lead lab operations in a fast-paced testing environment. This role focuses on managing quality systems, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, and overseeing both equipment and personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Develop, update, and maintain SOPs for AIHA, VLAP, and other accreditations

+ Enforce company, customer, and government safety standards

+ Implement and maintain quality management practices to deliver accurate, reliable testing services

+ Manage laboratory equipment availability and routine maintenance on instruments including GC/MS, ICP/MS, and FLAA

+ Oversee staffing plans, recruitment, and performance management for lab personnel

+ Perform chemical analyses and basic test data evaluation

+ Ensure compliance with lab protocols and calibration of instruments

+ Collaborate with and train Laboratory Assistants to maintain accuracy and adherence to procedures

+ Prepare and review technical reports documenting testing results

+ Support additional lab tasks as required

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related technical field

+ Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience with GC/MS, ICP/MS, and FLAA

+ Strong knowledge of accreditation standards and instrumental analysis

+ Proficient with Microsoft Office and lab software applications

+ Excellent communication and customer service skills

+ Effective time management and organizational abilities

+ Team-oriented with leadership skills and ability to work well under pressure
