M Health Fairview has a Patient Registration opening at the Eagan Urgent Care Clinic located in Eagan, MN. Join M Health Fairview, the largest healthcare system in the state! The M Health Fairview Eagan Urgent Care Clinic is a growing and collaborative clinic.

This is a 0.75 FTE (60 hours per two week pay period) opening and is benefits-eligible.

The schedule for this role is as follows:

Monday 5-8

Tuesday 10-5

Thursday 10-8

Every Other Weekend

Saturday 330-7

Sunday 9-8

Job Overview

Our Patient Registration crew greets and welcomes patients into the clinic. The verify, register and schedule patients with accurately and efficiently. This includes verifying insurance and demographic information. This team also reviews and maintains patient accounts, secures financial arrangements on self-pay balances prior to and during patient appointments, and researches and facilitates patients questions and concerns.

+ Verifies patient insurance coverage, eligibility, contract group number, effective dates and coverage, accurate insurance, and billing address.

+ Advises patients of insurance coverage co pays or self-pay policy and documents in patient account for front desk staff.

+ Monitors patient balances on patient accounts and alerts patients of outstanding balances to ensure appropriate financial arrangements.

+ Actively participates in crafting and implementing improvements.

+ Answers in-coming calls from patients or internal team members to assist with patient care when the need arises

+ Schedules appointments for patients with specified clinician according to scheduling guidelines and availability actively trying to accommodate all involved

Required

+ High school or equivalent

Preferred

+ Completion of medical terminology course or equivalent experience and education preferred.
