Position Overview
The Senior Planner plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and strategic innovation within Shaw Industries' diverse product portfolio. This position is tasked with optimizing service delivery for each product through collaborative engagement with cross-functional teams, including demand planning, category management, sourcing, and logistics. The Senior Planner will spearhead continuous process improvement initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance all aspects of the planning process.
Effective communication is a cornerstone of this role, as the Senior Planner must adeptly navigate interactions across various levels of the organization and the broader supply chain. Additionally, this position will guide and mentor team members at all levels of the organization—downward, across, and upward—to ensure alignment with service objectives, optimize inventory, and enhance distribution network replenishment strategies.
Participation in the Executive Sales and Operations Planning (ES&OP) process is crucial, as the Senior Planner will engage in discussions surrounding new product launches, product transitions, supplier-related challenges, capacity planning, pre-build strategies, forecasting, and inventory management. Ultimately, this role is accountable for maintaining optimal inventory levels that align with organizational dollar targets and service expectations, thereby supporting the overarching supply plan goals.
Responsibilities:
+ Identify and implement innovative strategies for continuous improvement within the planning department, focusing on enhancing systems and processes to drive efficiency.
+ Utilize a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end supply chain to assess how planning decisions influence other functional areas, ensuring a holistic approach to supply chain management.
+ Monitor and update parameters within the HSRP system, understanding their impact on customer service levels, inventory metrics, and warehousing capacities.
+ Communicate effectively with all levels of management throughout Shaw’s enterprise, tailoring messages to resonate with specific audiences and ensuring clarity in objectives and expectations.
+ Exercise independent judgment in order placement and problem-solving, demonstrating confidence in decision-making capabilities.
+ Serve as a liaison for Business Partners, HS HELP, Category Management, Global Sourcing, and Demand Planning, addressing inquiries and fostering collaborative relationships.
+ Collaborate closely with Sourcing Management on both domestic and global fronts to ensure alignment and efficiency in procurement strategies.
+ Oversee inventory levels in HS distribution centers, optimizing and balancing inventories as required to meet service demands.
+ Actively engage in S&OP Pre Supply and Supply discussions that shape strategic planning efforts.
+ Employ quantitative and statistical skills to analyze and manipulate large sets of data, to identify deficiencies, and inform decision-making processes.
+ Plan and requisition from a complex pool of suppliers, through the HSRP system to uphold customer service and inventory standards.
+ Develop, publish, monitor, and update essential data through the creation of new reports or the enhancement of existing reporting methods while utilizing advanced analytical capabilities.
+ Review, calculate, and advise Stage Gate opening orders, ensuring timely execution of product transitions.
+ Collaborate with Category Management regarding new product introductions and discontinuations, facilitating seamless transitions in the product lifecycle.

Requirements:
+ 4 year degree in Supply Chain or Business related field and 2+ years of supply chain/ operations experience OR 7+ years of experience within supply chain/ operations (preferably planning)
+ Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret large data sets and trend
+ Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in analyses.
+ Eager to learn and develop skills in supply chain management.
+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being able to work independently.
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
+ Ability and experience leading team members at all levels of the organization—downward, across, and upward
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
+ Complex problem-solving capabilities
Preferences
+ Experience with Tableau or other Analytics Visualization tools
+ Ability to translate data using varying platforms, e.g., Excel, Tableau, SQL and PowerBi.
+ Experience using HSRP, Glink/Vista, Peoplesoft, ShawOnline Live (Entry/Modification)
+ CPIM and/or CSCP Certification
+ Black Belt Training

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
