    Summary

    The Recruit Marketing Specialist is responsible for the successful promotion and marketing of the bank’s products and services to the prospective recruit clients at the Recruit Training Center. Responsible to generate sales and promote bank products to qualified clients with ethical oversight of bank operations and adherence to all procedures. Responsible for providing a superior customer experience. Communicates effectively and is highly engaged and energized to speak publicly to large audiences.

    Responsibilities

    + Markets bank products to target clients outside the banking center by attending daily briefings at Naval Station Great Lakes and facilitating public presentations to new Recruits. Generates new business by explaining the Armed Forces Bank story and the features and benefits of bank products to a target audience.

    + Attends local functions and events primarily hosted by military groups located on the installation.

    + Identifies and pursues marketing opportunities to build brand awareness around the installation.

    + Builds relationships with key decision makers and influencers at the installation. Supports installation events and generates opportunities for programs that provide mutual benefit such as financial education initiatives.

    + Ensures client experience is “fast, easy and personal” consistent with company client service standards.

    + Protect all client and bank information confidentially and follow all company policies.

    + Understand, communicate, and instill the Company’s mission, vision, and values (Pillars of Success).

    + Complete monthly training in a timely manner to ensure knowledge of bank regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.

    + Working at the worksite during regular business hours and/or assigned hours.

    + Other specified duties as assigned.

     

    Compensation & Benefits

     

    The Recruit Marketing Spec position pays a range of $18.00-$19.00 per hour. This position is eligible for additional incentive compensation monthly, based on achievement of established incentive goals.

    Skills

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work accurately.

    + Ability to organize work.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

    + Engaging presentation delivery and facilitation skills.

    + Proficiency with common computer programs, including Microsoft Office and email, required.

    Education & Experience

    + High school diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelor's degree, preferred.

    + Military experience, preferred.

    + 2+ years banking experience, required. Experience with DFC, preferred.

    + Public speaking experience, required.

    + Marketing experience, preferred.

    + High emotional intelligence with proven ability to be self-motivated.

    + Must be able to multi-task and be comfortable with on-the-job training.

    + Thorough understanding of retail deposit and loan products, required. Knowledge of DFC products preferred.

    + Flexibility in work schedule, required.

    + Ability to obtain clearance to be on military base(s), required.

    + Ability to be NMLS licensed, and state notary licensed.

    Physical Requirements

    The work environment is typical of a standard office or retail banking setting. The position involves standing most of the workday. The position will involve moving about the workspace to reach entrances/exits, restrooms, conference rooms, or other areas within the work environment. Reaching may be required involving the ability to move arms in any direction. Office equipment, such as a computer and telephone, will be used requiring the ability to manipulate a keyboard, mouse, and/or keypad. The ability to decipher a computer screen or written documents is necessary. The ability to express or exchange ideas; impart information to clients, coworkers, or the public; or to convey detailed or important instructions; is required. The ability to receive and understand detailed information shared through oral or written communication is required. Position requires lifting and/or the exerting of up to 10 pounds of force.
