Job Summary

The Radiology Technologist - Clinics is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures in an outpatient clinic setting. This role ensures high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis while prioritizing patient safety, comfort, and compliance with regulatory standards. The Radiology Technologist collaborates with healthcare providers to support efficient clinic operations and optimal patient care.

Essential Functions

+ Performs routine and specialized diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, following established protocols.

+ Prepares and positions patients for imaging exams, ensuring proper technique and radiation safety.

+ Operates and maintains radiographic equipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety standards.

+ Ensures proper patient identification and maintains accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR) and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS).

+ Adheres to infection control, radiation protection, and quality assurance protocols.

+ Assists physicians and healthcare providers in reviewing imaging results and determining additional imaging needs.

+ Provides patient education on imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and addressing concerns.

+ Collaborates with clinical staff to support efficient patient flow and timely exam completion.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

+ Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

+ 0-2 years of experience as a radiology technologist required

+ Experience in an outpatient clinic or ambulatory care setting preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

+ Strong knowledge of radiologic imaging techniques, patient positioning, and radiation safety.

+ Proficiency in operating radiographic equipment and troubleshooting technical issues.

+ Excellent patient-care and communication skills to ensure comfort and understanding of procedures.

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize imaging abnormalities and artifacts.

+ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a clinical setting.

+ Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and radiology information systems (RIS).

+ Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Licenses and Certifications

+ ARRT Radiography Certification required

+ State licensure as required by regulatory agencies

+ BCLS - Basic Life Support required
