    As the Manager of Facilities Management, your work ensures the safe and reliable environment our caregivers need to deliver this world-class care. In this role, you will offer support and serve as a leader to your team. This role involves optimizing building systems, maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting innovation, and promoting sustainability to uphold Cleveland Clinic's commitment to providing world-class healthcare services and advancing the future of medicine.

     

    A caregiver in this position works 6:30am-3:30pm.

    A caregiver who excels in this role will:

    + Supervise facilities employees and provides leadership, orientation, training, coaching and mentoring to assigned employees assigned at hospital locations within the enterprise.

    + Oversee installation, inspections, repairs, trouble shooting and daily maintenance of buildings, infrastructures, facility equipment and grounds in the respective facilities skilled trade.

    + Communicate and coordinate facilities work utilizing our CMMS, various departments and contractors.

    + Support system-wide initiatives and provides trade expertise.

    + Assure compliance with applicable codes and regulations as applied to buildings and services.

    + Participates as a member of the Environment of Care Committee and oversees the integrity of all fire safety systems.

    Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

    + Completion of apprenticeship trade or vocational school or knowledge obtained through four years of on-the-job training experience in the appropriate area of responsibility

    + 4 years of experience as a fully qualified tradesperson or technician in respective area of responsibility (e.g., electrical, plumbing)

    + An additional 2 years of previous supervisory or managerial experience or demonstration of formal education in business management (preferred)

    + Associates Degree or substitute by an additional 2 years of experience

    + Bachelor's Degree in business administration, engineering or related field or an additional 4 years of supervisory or managerial experience may substitute degree requirement

    + Master license and other licenses required as appropriate for trade

    + Can work with employees, interdepartmental teams, and organizational leadership across the enterprise to effectively complete goals

    Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

    + Membership in professional trade organization

    + Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM), Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) or Professional Engineer (PE)

    + Healthcare experience

    Physical Requirements:

    + This position requires moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 lbs.) to lift supplies and equipment; frequent prolonged standing and walking with occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching.

    + Manual dexterity and mobility required.

    + Special Environmental Demands: May be subjected to injury from moving parts of equipment and exposure to hot or noisy equipment.

    + Additionally may be subjected to hazards from electrical, mechanical, power equipment and exposure to toxic chemicals, infectious diseases.

    Personal Protective Equipment:

    + Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

     

    Pay Range

     

    Minimum hourly: $44.53

     

    Maximum hourly: $67.92

     

    The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. While the pay range is displayed as an hourly rate, Cleveland Clinic recruiters will clarify whether the compensation is hourly or salary. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education.
