Job Summary
The Director, Project Management is responsible for leading and overseeing all project management operations across multiple regions of Terumo Medical Corporation, reporting to the Senior Director of the Project Management and Product Development organization. This leadership role will drive the execution of large-scale, complex projects and programs, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and business objectives. Leading all efforts related to the Project Management Office (PMO), this role will work closely with cross-functional teams, senior executives, and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Job Details/Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy:
+ Lead the project management organization, setting direction, strategy, and performance expectations that meet Terumo Corporation’s short- and long-term plans.
+ Define and implement project management standards, methods, and best practices.
+ Work with senior leadership to align project portfolios with objectives and priorities.
+ Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the project management function
Project & Program Management:
+ Oversee the execution of large, complex projects across multiple regions, ensuring alignment with business goals.
+ Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation across all cross-functional teams.
+ Monitor and report on project performance, identifying risks and implementing mitigations
+ Coordinate with functional teams and business leaders to prioritize and manage deliverables.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
+ Partner with internal teams (ex. Commercial, Operations, Finance) both globally and domestically to drive the successful delivery of projects.
+ Lead communication efforts with stakeholders at all levels, including executive briefings, progress updates, and escalations.
+ Build and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and partners as needed.
Team Development & Mentorship:
+ Manage associate development, performance management, and associated tasks related to leading a productive and engaged team.
+ Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development to the project management team.
+ Develop associate Individual Development Plans (IDP)
+ Lead recruitment and hiring efforts to ensure the team has the right skills and capabilities.
+ Promote knowledge sharing, collaboration, and cross-functional engagement
Budget & Resource Management:
+ Oversee the budgeting and financial management of all global projects, ensuring they stay within budget and resources are efficiently allocated.
+ Ensure proper utilization of resources and manage project conflicts that may arise due to limited resources or competing priorities.
Risk Management & Quality Assurance:
+ Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks through proactive risk management plans.
+ Ensure quality control processes are in place to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
Benefits / Compensation

Compensation range: $157,000 - $235,000.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)
+ Ability to effectively interact and communicate directly with all levels and regions of the organization
+ Strong leadership skills and organizational presence.
+ Working knowledge of the medical device industry, global regulatory regulations, quality systems, and design controls
+ Proven experience in managing multi-regional or international teams, with a strong understanding of domestic and global market dynamics.
+ Extensive experience with project management methodologies, PMI best practices, and project portfolio management. Experience with Planisware PPM software preferred.
+ Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and resources across large projects.
+ Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement industry best practices.
+ Ability to work across multiple time zones and manage virtual or remote teams effectively
Qualifications/ Background Experiences
+ BS in Engineering or other related technical field; advanced degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
+ Current leadership position with 10 or more years of progressive career experience in an engineering, scientific, and/or manufacturing operations role.

Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
