Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide SME-level Defense Acquisition Program Management, Engineering, and Organizational operations decision support to Senior Materiel Leader, Chief Engineer, and System Program Office(s) responsible for planning and executing multiple high-priority Air Force and Joint-Service weapon acquisition programs
+ Provide Senior-level guidance on strategy, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication to effectively navigate the Department of Defense Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and execution process for weapons systems programs
+ Educate and directly provide advanced engineering and technology decision analysis to Materiel Leaders, Branch Chiefs, and Program Managers throughout the organization
+ Directly provide guidance and products required to execute weapon system acquisition programs as directed by the Senior Materiel Leader, System Program Manager(s) and Chief Engineers
+ Provide digital and data transformation solutions to Senior Leaders to improve engineering processes, tools and techniques
+ Develop, coordinate, and sustain integrated roadmaps that align strategic objectives, capability development, and investment priorities across acquisition and technology portfolios
+ Define architectural needs and the associated analytic capabilities requirements to evaluate architectural alternatives in support of future warfare and near-peer adversary engagements
+ Provide analytical and decision-support capabilities to inform complex decisions related to the design, assessment, and optimization of current and future military force structures
+ Expand and enhance the application of modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) tools, along with other advanced analytical methodologies, to support improved decision-making across acquisition, planning, and operational domains
+ Provide digital transformation of systems engineering data, tools, and processes to enhance integration, traceability, and decision-making across the system development lifecycle
+ Provide SME-level materiel support to Senior leader discussions with industry counterparts
+ Support cross-functional teams in all life-cycle phases, including research and development, manufacturing, and fielded product support
+ Develop Acquisition and Engineering Strategies to deliver weapon systems to meet US and Partner Nation warfighter requirements
+ Coordinate frequently with Congressional staffs, Department of Defense, Air Force, and Navy staffs regarding requirements, engineering solutions and technology roadmaps
+ Develop and implement Program Management and Systems Engineering processes and data integration techniques to increase effectiveness and efficiency of SPO operations
+ Identify opportunities where KBR can expand our presence, grow our team, demonstrate our capabilities, and increase our technical support to government clients and organizations

Qualifications:
Required:
+ Bachelors degree
+ 20+ years of experience executing the required tasks with 8+ years working in or advising the leadership level, or serving in a ACAT I leadership position
+ Level III Defense Acquisition University certification
+ Direct experience on ACAT I programs in the development or production phase
+ Expertise managing large Defense Acquisition engineering teams and improving processes
+ Proven track record at building and leading high-performance teams in a demanding, technically sophisticated environment
+ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, internal and customer facing
+ Availability for ad-hoc and recurring customer and team meetings during core business hours. Position likely to have limited telework.
+ Current Secret security clearance is required
+ Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance is required
Desired:
+ Master's degree in related field
+ Former Senior Materiel Leader, Materiel Leader, Chief Engineer or equivalent of an ACAT I Defense Acquisition program with 20+ years of experience
+ Experience as an Engineer or Program Manager on an air-to-air or air-to-ground weapons program
+ Experience in both Development and Production phases of an ACAT I program
+ Experience bringing Agile, Digital Engineering, or advanced data integration management techniques to bear on Defense Acquisition
+ Experience defining requirements for and transitioning technologies from DoD Science and Technology sources and National Laboratories
