    Job Description:

    _Key Job Responsibilities_

    + Base off of LPN general job description

    + IV Insertion & Maintenance

    + Phlebotomy

    + Documentation

    + Attend Rapid Responses and Codes with CRA

    + Rounding on units

    + Assist the CRA with patient work-up

    + Supporting the nurses and PCTs on the floor to develop phlebotomy and IV skills

    + Scope: Inpatient, Observation, Emergency Room, Infusion center, Medical Imaging

     

    The Licensed Practical Nurse in Acute Care (LPN) provides patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The LPN plays an integral role in the physical and emotional comfort of patients and their families. The LPN provides direct patient care in collaboration with other health care team members and completes other tasks to support patient care. The NYS Education Department differentiated scope of practice of LPNs and RNs is the source of document used for determining tasks that the LPN may perform.

    Job Requirements:

    _NYS Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse_

    + Current licensure

    + In good standing

    _Technical Certification_

    + BLS Certification required

    _Experience_

    + 2 years of Nursing experience in an acute care setting required

    + 2 years of Phlebotomy and IV placement experience required

     

    _D/E/N/Weekend/ Holiday Rotation_

     

    _Full-time & Part-time Positions_

     

    _Salary Range: TBD_

    _Reports Associate Director of Nursing for Inpatient Services_

    PAY RANGE: $24.00 - $27.00
