Holcim is planning to spin-off its North American Business to unleash its full potential, capitalizing on North America’s oversized growth in construction led by the modernization of infrastructure, a surge in advanced manufacturing and AI operation and the growth of resilient cities.
Holcim plans to list the new company on the NYSE by the end of the first half of 2025 and establish its operations headquarters in the US to be fully dedicated to serving the North American market and pursue a growth strategy across the region.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Business Development Manager will champion and lead the development of “out-of-the-box” and nontraditional business solutions. Establishes and maintains positive customer relations with potential and current customers to grow the business. Ensures quality and consistency of service and/or product delivery
that meets the customer’s needs. He/she will work closely with the General Manager and Operations to
ensure alignment of the projects while identifying necessary resources to deliver on chosen solutions. He/she
will manage such projects from inception to completion, using internal resources for larger projects.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
+ Establish and lead the Business Development Team in support of the SOR Region Sales Team
+ Supervise the members of the team - Lead Coordinators, Bid Coordinators, and Estimators - and ensurethe timely and accurate performance of their work in administering the Region's Sales Bid Program
+ Work with Sales Team members, their customers and all outside resources to ensure that the division isaware of and is bidding on all viable projects within our defined areas
+ Establish relationships with the estimating departments of our key customers across the region to ensureaccess to information and feedback relative to projects at all bid stages
+ Fulfill the role of Estimator until such time as this position is filled or serve as the back-up for this positionwhen PTO, absences, travel or work load require
+ Ensure that the Business Development Team is fully staffed, trained and engaged at all times andworking for the greater good of the region, the sales team and the customers
+ Improve the overall bidding process utilizing technology and AI as applicable to ensure a streamlined andefficient system
+ Lead and promote development of strategic relationships with partners or potential customers; proactivelyfind new ways to build the existing business lines; Secure and mobilize the required resources, bothinternally across functions and externally, to deliver solutions to customers.
+ Lead and assist with complex sales negotiations, create and deliver sales presentations.
+ Plans, producesand manages proposal and pricing development and client presentations and interaction. Identify risksand opportunities to the business in general, and as it applies to specific projects and initiatives.
+ Participate in the development of the annual business plan and strategies to ensure attainment ofcompany goals and profitability.
+ Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential partnersincluding, but not limited to: customers, partner companies, community leaders, utilities, and engineeringfirms.
+ Ability to ask questions and understand the customer’s need (direct and indirectly stated) andmatch those with company offerings and solutions.
+ Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety andenvironmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit thesebehaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
**Education:** Bachelor's degree
**Additional Education Preferred:** Master's degree
**Field of Study Preferred:** Construction Management, Business Administration or Concrete Industry
Management (CIM)
**Required Work Experience:** 8+ years experience of progressive experience in project management, and/or change management environment
**Required Technical Skills:** Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications
**Travel Requirements:** .15
Additional Requirements:
+ Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.
