The scope of this job is to support the planning execution and delivery of cross-functional projects both within the Eurofins Microbiology scope. Projects include one-time or ongoing activities that will catalyze growth through expansion of existing business offerings, launching new offerings, or meet other needs such as process or space redesign. This role involves assisting with resource coordination, schedule tracking, stakeholder communication, and documentation. The expectation is to develop and execute plans while working with stakeholders to deliver to timelines on budget. In addition to large project initiatives, the Project Manager is responsible for assisting Client Service team with communication between the performing (sub-contract) laboratories and clients to ensure expectations are met, assists clients in submitting needed information, managing sample receipt and registration, and other activities as needed to maintain good client relations.
Key Responsibilities Incude:
+ Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
+ Assist the Business Unit Manager or Business Unit President in the development and implementation of project plans
+ Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
+ Provide reports and analysis of department metrics and management information
+ Coordinate with team members, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
+ Maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
+ Organize project meetings and record minutes, action items, and follow-ups.
+ Help identify potential risks and work with the business leaders to develop mitigation strategies.
+ Manage project development from beginning to end. May be involved in regional or global project planning.
+ Drives process improvement initiatives
+ Develop project plans and associated communications.
+ Communicate project requirements, expectations, and outcomes to team members and stakeholders.
+ Collaborate with senior management, clients, and stakeholders to define the scope, goals, and deliverables of the project.
+ Estimate the resources needed to meet project goals.
+ Manage changes in project scope.
+ Monitor progress and status of assigned tasks and, if necessary, develop actions to bring assigned tasks back on schedule.
+ Identify and resolve issues and conflicts among project team members.
+ Interact with clients as needed to resolve questions or confirm assumptions during the project.
+ Ensure compliance with company procedures, standards, and project requirements.
+ Support resource allocation activities.
+ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of project tools and methodologies.
+ Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.
+ BA or BS in science, business, food-related technology or related STEM field.
+ 5+ years of experience in project or team management,
+ MBA or PMO certification preferred
+ Proficient in project management software (e.g. Microsoft Project, Trello, Asana, Excel or similar)
+ Knowledge of regulatory agency guidelins required
+ Excellent organization and multitasking skills
+ Ability to effectively communicate with multiple levels of the roganization
+ Proven organization, observation and problem-solving skills
+ Ability ot adapt and change directions quickly is required.
+ Experience in laboratory operations, sample handling and/or sample storage desired.
+ Previous experience in managing or influencing others is required.
+ Experience with LIMS is preferred
+ Ability to learn new tasks
+ Ability to think critically and solve problems quickly and efficiently
