Holy Cross Maryland- Silver Spring, a member of Trinity Health, is looking for a Certified Pharmacy Tech to join our Pharmacy team!

Summary:

Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing drugs to all patients and areas of the hospital, maintaining the drug inventory, charging and maintaining patient records. Advanced experience and training in the areas of controlled substances, IV admixtures, and handling and preparing cytotoxic drugs. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Performance demonstrates efforts to improve patient satisfaction, lower costs and improve quality.

Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.

Requirements:

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ National Pharmacy Technician Certification (Pharmacy students actively enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school are exempt. Successful completion of foreign pharmacy graduate examination will be considered equivalent.)

+ Registration with the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Board of Pharmacy

+ One year of IV admixture and chemotherapy experience preferred

Pay Range:** **22.83 - 31.96 USD Hourly

Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
