Description:
Reporting to the Practice Coordinator, Emergency Room, this position is responsible for the written records and reports which comprise the patient's medical record for each hospital admission by processing all physician orders; maintaining chart forms for nursing personnel to record their observations on patient care; filing reports from ancillary departments pertaining to each patient. This position is also accountable for maintaining open communication between nursing staff, physician, inter-departmental personnel and the patient.
1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. Three (3) years clerical experience or equivalent in an acute care setting is required.
3. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
4. Working knowledge of medical technology is required.
5. Ability to communicate effectively and pleasantly is required.
6. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks is required.
Pay Range: $22.07- $30.91
