Position Details:

**Status:** Fulltime - Exempt

**Shift:** Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

The Manager Design Services:

+ Partner with the Director of Design Services Facilities Vice President, Business Unit Leadership (i.e., Presidents, Operations, Directors, Vice Presidents, etc.), to support multiple small to large Service Delivery projects across BayCare Health System simultaneously.

+ Focus on collaborating with and offering strategic advice and support to clients internal to BayCare Health System and consultants/vendors outside of BayCare.

+ Work with BayCare leadership to develop, implement, and maintain new planning and design concepts and tools that are consistent with best practices in the industry.

+ Provide leadership to assist in developing strategic options for capital planning scenarios in collaboration with the Director of Design Services.

+ Oversee planning and design efforts to ensure consistency among consultants, contractors, and subcontractors in the utilization of the BayCare Facilities Design Standards Program.

+ Oversee the process of pre-qualifying new architectural and engineering firms. Responsible for preparing and managing Design Services RFPs for Threshold Capital Projects.

+ Also responsible for managing the RFP process including organizing and leading the Design Services Selection Committee for Threshold Capital Projects.

+ Responsible for leading and managing major Threshold capital projects from due diligence phase through the development of the permit drawings during the design phase or until the project is assigned to a Sr. Project Manager.

+ Responsible for the design management of all capital, planning, and space management functions for BayCare. Provides strategic and operational level support for capital development initiatives through master planning, due diligence, and design services.

+ Develops and oversees the establishment of budgets on new capital projects.

+ Responsible for the establishment, oversight, and implementation of all architectural and aesthetic guidelines and standards as related to any existing and future BayCare related facility or project - including all hospitals, MOBs, Ambulatory, and other facilities.

+ Directs and manages the Design Services team regarding space planning, signage, medical equipment, interiors, CMS facility space reporting, and life safety drawing program.

+ Manages Design Services team capital expenditures in the planning and design phases of capital projects for the BayCare Health System.

+ This position requires at least 10 years of Health Care design or construction experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience:

+ This position requires at least 10 years of Health Care design or construction experience.

+ This position requires at least 5 years experience in the management of professional team members in a fast-paced change-oriented Health Care organization.

+ The position requires expertise and experience in project management at a senior level in a health care environment.

Education:

+ Required Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
