Description:
SSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the mission, vision, and values of Trinity Health in leadership behaviors, practices, and decisions. Focus on customer excellence through rapport building and establishing trust with a strong attention to detail.
Supports the Retirement Plan philosophy, mission, goals, and strategic plan.
Investigates and resolves issues related to pension plan benefit programs and assist with related issues via telephone and e-mail. Provides prompt solutions, highly responsive and superior customer service to all inquiries by referencing pension plan documentation to ensure accuracy of response.
Meets or exceeds department service level agreements (SLA).
Performs pension administration and retiree transactions in the pension administration system and other applications as appropriate, and within established performance standards. Processes pension verifications, life insurance forms, incoming mail, incoming faxes, retrieves messages daily from voicemail and process returned mail.
Collaborates with other pension team members to resolve unique and complicated issues and to implement process and procedural improvements.
Reviews participant information received for completion, correction, and accurate distribution of pension disbursement. Identifies information for data processing and/or next steps such as researching and securing appropriate legal documentation as necessary, such as divorce decrees and Power of Attorney.
Under direction of Management, performs duties associated with special and recurring projects and other duties as needed and assigned by the manager.
Supports co-workers in their absence to provide continuity of service to participants and management.
Maintains confidentiality of department and participant information according to established practice.
Ensures that the department standard 48 hour process is met daily by assisting in opening incoming mail and printing faxes, checking participant pension forms, data entering and scanning forms into the pension system, and mailing out participant paperwork.
Maintains a general working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.
Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of Pension Programs normally obtained through a High School diploma or equivalent and one (1) to three (3) years of experience in a Retirement administrative or support role with a minimum of two (2) years customer service experience in a high-volume work environment or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Strong administrative ability required, including written and oral communication skills. .
PC experience and demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Windows, or related computer software. Good keyboarding skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Typing skill of a minimum of 50 words per minute.
Ability to work independently, exercise limited discretion and confidentiality, exhibit tact and diplomacy in all working relationships.
Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This position operates in a typical office environment. The area is well-lit, temperature-controlled, and free from hazards.
Must be able to set and organize own work priorities and adapt to them as they change frequently. Must be able to work concurrently on a variety of tasks/projects in an environment that may be stressful with individuals having diverse personalities and work styles.
Communicates frequently, in person and over the phone, with people in all locations on product support issues. Hearing is needed for extensive telephone and in person communication.
Manual dexterity for keyboard use is necessary as well as the ability to work ergonomically in an office environment.
Must possess the ability to comply with Trinity Health policies and procedures.
Must be able to travel to the various Trinity Health sites, minimal 20% of time, based on business needs, for meetings, training, etc.
