    Job Description:

    Our Replenishment Buyers play a key role in maintaining optimal inventory levels at our OpCo's (Operating Companies, distribution centers) and high fill rates to ensure best-in-class service levels to Vistar's customers. Successful Buyers are analytical and detail oriented.

    The Replenishment Buyer position will include performing the following duties:

    + **Purchasing Execution:** Place Purchase Orders to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement to drive optimal customer fill rates

    + **Inventory Management:** Analyze and monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and are maintained for assigned area(s) of responsibility

    + **Forecasting:** Leverage and build on knowledge of forecasting and inventory management systems

    + **Risk Mitigation:** Identify and mitigate risks in the inventory and purchasing process

    + **Sales and Supplier Partnership:** Work cross functionally with Sales team on customer demand and inventory strategies, while maintaining strong supplier relationships to drive purchasing and supply chain efficiencies

    + **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination of inventory and purchasing activities

    + **Compliance:** Ensure compliance with Vistar (PFG) and SOX policies and procedures

    + Performs other related duties as assigned

     

    Our Buyers are able to work from home 1 day/week after onboarding period.

    High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

     

    purchasing experience or planning or equivalent merchandising experience
