    Job Description:

    The Sadler Lab is recruiting a laboratory technician to perform many of the lab’s routine maintenance and administrative tasks, including managing the transgenic mouse colony and generating primary cell cultures. The technician will work with Dr. Sadler and other members of her laboratory to learn basic molecular biology techniques, cell culture, and mouse pain behavior testing approaches, and additional skills as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Associate degree with a minimum of two years hands on experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

    + The ideal candidate will have rodent handling skills and knowledge of basic molecular (e.g., PCR ) and cell biology (e.g., cell culture) techniques.

    + In addition to scientific skills, the ideal candidate will be an excellent verbal and written communicator, be very detail-oriented, and work well in a group made up of individuals.
