    + **Department:** Virtual Safety Monitor

    + **Schedule:** Full Time; Days (3 (12-hour) shifts/week; every 3rd weekend rotation; 1 major winter and summer holiday per year on rotating basis.)

    As a Patient Monitor, you will assist in providing excellent care to our patients. Join us in observing patients that require extra support during their stay. This position requires exceptional attention to detail and effective communication in order for us to provide quality care. There is no direct patient care required in this office setting role.

    Responsibilities

    Provide observation and surveillance of assigned patients.

    Responsibilities:

    + Monitor patients by use of video monitors.

    + Communicate and/or instruct patients by use of 2-way audio device.

    + Notify clinical staff of any changes in patient condition and/or safety risk level.

    + Complete documentation of observations of patient activities, patient behaviors and other safety & comfort related issues.

    Requirements

    Licensure / Certification / Registration:

    + BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

    Education:

    + High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

    + Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

     

    Additional Preferences

     

    Prefer clinical experience in a hospital setting or as a primary care taker.

     

    Basic Computer skills required.

     

    Excellent communication required.
