A reputable medical device client of ours is seeking a Senior or Principal level Catheter Engineer to join their team on a contract or contract to direct basis to help drive efforts within design, prototyping and process development as it relates to catheter development projects. Client is looking for someone who a very well versed within the catheter industry. This role is onsite in Fridley. Client can offer this as a pure contract OR contract to direct.

**Job Title:** Senior Catheter Engineer

**Location:** Fridley, MN

**Salary:** DOE

Key Responsibilities

+ Create technical execution plan and deliverables with the project manager

+ Lead and execute design and development project-related activities within the internal team

+ Lead customer interaction on technical deliverables comfortably and confidently

+ Lead activities for concept generation with strong technical problem-solving skills

+ Mentor engineers on the team to conduct engineering analysis on designs, concepts, and the associated research

+ Lead and monitor documentation practices for requirements, design output, design verification, and testing using client and/or customer’s QMS

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field required, master’s degree in Engineering or related technical field helpful

+ Minimum of 5 years (Engineer III) or 8 years (Senior Engineer) of relevant work experience required

+ Medical device development experience required including catheter development experience.

+ Well established knowledge of multiple engineering functional areas (i.e. product development, test, modeling, process, etc.)

+ Anatomical knowledge of the vasculature and clinical knowledge of coronary/ peripheral/ neurological procedures is helpful

+ Independently applies knowledge of the methodology for process/design selection

+ Able to communicate complex technical concepts to broad audiences
