    Our client, a leading provider in transportation, is seeking a Diesel Mechanic Assistant to join their team. As a Diesel Mechanic Assistant, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting skilled mechanics. The ideal candidate will have a strong willingness to learn, good communication skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Mechanic Assistant

    **Location:** Middletown, NY

    **Pay Range:** $22 per hour

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Assist with truck maintenance jobs, including oil changes and brake pad replacements.

    + Support mechanics during more complicated repair jobs.

    + Change tires and perform tune-ups on various vehicles.

    + Utilize hand and power tools effectively and safely.

    + Learn and apply knowledge of gasoline and diesel equipment.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    + Completion of an Auto Repair Program or previous experience with diesel powered vehicles is mandatory.

    + Familiarity with general workings of car, truck, and tractor engines specifically diesel.

    + A strong willingness to learn and grow in the automotive field.
