    Description

    To ensure that materials are moved in a timely fashion from, one operation to the next in

     

    order, on time and complete. The water plays a crucial role in cycle time achievement and

     

    keeping value-added work going throughout the work shift.

    Highlights of the role:

    . Learns and understands safety and quality guidelines for their assigned departments.

    . Audits day-to-day operations for Safety adherence and safety improvement opportunities

    . Ensure all packets are delivered to the work areas on time, accurate and complete (carts

    coming in and carts that need to be returned to the previous department)

    . Organize doors/ component parts to match so the line can meet customer demand (takt

    time)

    . Ensures team members don't have to leave their work areas to retrieve or PPE

    . Help with problem-solving the areas abnormalities

     

    Participate in continuous improvement activities

    Ensures proper WIP levels in the department are followed

    . Works other areas water spiders to get remakes/ repairs completed within 24 hours

    . Assist the Senior Operator to ensure 100% schedule attainment daily (doors are built on

    time an completed according to the build schedule)

    . Completes rework/remake tickets.

    . Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    HS Diploma or GED

    . Exceptional, communication, organizational, time management, ability to work in a team,

     

    and problem-solving skills and high attention to detail are a must.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    . Ability to recognize wood species.

    . Ability to recognize defects specific to wood species.

    . Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

    . Ability to prioritize multiple tasks given to them

    . Strong time management and attention to detail.

    . Good brainstorming and problem-solving skills.

    . Ability to stay focused

    Knowledge of product line and quality standards of product line

    . Ability to keep the work area neat and clean.

    . Ability to correctly read a tape measure.
