Position Overview:
As a Faculty Records Coordinator at Galen College of Nursing, you will be directly responsible for the overall management of all faculty credentialing. Additionally, the Faculty Records Coordinator will work with both campus-level and College-level leadership to ensure the proper processes are in place and that goals are established to ensure continued compliance with the requirements of Galen’s regulatory and accrediting agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manages the daily operations of the faculty credentialing. This requires collaborative work with faculty, deans, and program directors to ensure compliance with the established internal procedures related to documentation of faculty and academic staff credentials.
2. Fulfills and supports faculty reporting requests as needed by the department.
3. Manages and maintains faculty records to ensure continued compliance with the requirements of state boards of nursing, regulatory, and accrediting agencies.
4. Advocates for policies and processes that improve quality, communication, and documentation.
5. Maintains a repository of faculty related required documents and reports.
6. Assists and coordinates with Rank & Promotion activities.
7. Collects Campus Committee Meeting Minutes.
8. Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
+ Education & Experience: A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. Three to five years of experience in academics. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements.
+ Skills: Excellent organization, time-management, self-management skills. The ability to prioritize responsibilities and maintain a strong connection to remote leadership while working with little direct supervision. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Aptitude in problem solving and decision making. Proficient with Microsoft Office Products including Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Word. Experience with a HRIS systems is a plus.
+ Degree of Supervision: Minimal supervision required.
+ Physical Demands & Work Environment: Position requires mental activity, reading, planning, preparing, evaluating, and decision making. Physical demands in the office are minimal and considered sedentary work with occasional lifting and/or carrying such articles as records, files, and books (10 pounds maximum). Operation of standard office equipment such as phones, computer/laptop, printer/scanner, etc., occurs on a frequent basis.
This position requires the employee to be near a campus for in-person work. Some travel may be required.
