    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    As a Cardiology/EKG Technician you shall perform EKG’s on both inpatients and outpatients providing care to patients ranging from adult to geriatric in accordance with medical staff within the organizational structure. You will participate in providing patient specific care standards as directed and follow service excellence standards to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction.

     

    + You will perform EKG’s for adult/neonate for all areas of the hospital

    + You will process all related paperwork for EKG’s

    + You will edit demographic data on EKG’s in the EKG database

    + You will retrieve old EKG records for all requesting departments

    + You will have complete knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias

    Job Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    + High school graduate or GED equivalent

    + One-year certificate from college or technical school

    + Previous cardiology experience – preferred

    Licenses and Certifications

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) as per St. David’s HealthCare policy

    + Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) – preferred
