    Overview

     

    We are seeking aRespiratory Therapist (RT), Certified (CRT) or Registered (RRT), internally referred to as a Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) for our Respiratory Care team. As a CRT/RRT you will work under the direction and authorization of the Medical Director and Cardiopulmonary Director/Manager.

     

    Shift’s Available: variable

     

    Employment Type:per diem/PRN

     

    Hours:12-hour shift

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

    + Performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician

    + Emphasis will be toward the assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care, with consideration of age and population specific needs and requirements of the patient

    + In the absence of a supervisor, may be assigned/identified as team lead, having responsibility for the section or department during their shift

    + Evaluation, diagnosis, and care of patients with cardiopulmonary problems

    + Such patients include those with emphysema, asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, cardiac failure, and chest trauma

    Qualifications

    Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

     

    + Alabama state Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license

    + Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and/or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from NBRC

    + BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current

    + ACLS certificate within 60 day of hire and maintain current

    + PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current

    Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

    + Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree

    + NRP certificate
