Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for the daily maintenance repairs of facility(s), preventive maintenance of all life and non-life safety equipment, operations and repairs of the power plant, and grounds. Have thorough working and trouble shooting ability for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and building automation system.

What you will do in this role:

+ Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC equipment, exhaust systems, building automation systems on the hospital campus.

+ Plan, coordinate, and provide hands on skills for minor alterations and construction not requiring city or state permits.

+ Perform or manage comprehensive ground repairs.

+ Perform testing and operation of Emergency Power system (Generator testing)

+ Perform testing of fire pump.

+ Assist Plant Director with Fire alarm/sprinkler testing schedules and repairs.

+ Assist other stationary engineers as required

+ Assist with scheduling of vendors for preventive maintenance and testing of equipment as required by code.

+ Has knowledge of The Joint Commission, NFPA, TAC, and city of Houston codes.

+ Adheres to all hospital and department policies and procedures.

+ Responds to Code (Red, Pink, and Gray)
