    The Opportunity

     

    As a Capture Director- US Government you will contribute to our growing portfolio of contracts with the US Government. You will lead strategic capture efforts across federal markets, including Department of Defense (DoD) and Civilian agencies (e.g. CMS, VA, USDA, SSA). To be successful you will have business development (BD) and proposal development experience and inclination to lead, bid and win complex, high priority business opportunities over $30 million or more. You will partner with Client Account Leaders and other business leaders to bid and win opportunities, identify the resources needed to pursue, meet with clients, build relationships with key partners and develop winning bid strategies (including pricing, teaming and staffing strategies). You are responsible for the full lifecycle capture management from opportunity assessment through proposal execution.

    Core Responsibilities

    + Lead the development and execution of comprehensive capture strategies for high-value opportunities in coordination with business development, solution architects, proposal teams, and executive leadership.

    + Be an independent advocate for a deal.

    + Lead gate reviews or bid/no bid decisions per company process guidelines.

    + Lead all phases of capture activities and strategy execution; set the strategic direction of a capture working collaboratively with business leaders.

    + Partner with Client Account Leads to develop a plan to meet with customer stakeholders, understand their business needs, and position us as the preferred partner.

    + Lead development of win strategy including solution development, competitive assessment, and pricing strategy

    + Prepare/maintain strategic capture plans.

    + Lead responses to Requests for Information.

    + Provide competitor analysis, gap analysis, and teaming advice.

    + Help negotiate with partnership teams and prepare input for NDAs and TAs (working with Contracts).

    + Prepare and deliver updates to senior leadership at specified milestones in the capture process.

    + Provide strategic guidance to the proposal development process including alignment in strategy, themes, solutions, staffing, and pricing.

    + Ensure the capture team's strategy, themes, solution, and discriminators are reflected in the proposal.

    + Maintain pipeline and opportunity records/information in the company’s CRM tool.

    What We Value

    + Bachelor’s Degree + Fifteen years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree + Twelve years of relevant experience, or PhD + Ten years of relevant experience

    + 10+ years of experience in business development or capture, ideally for professional services contracts

    + Proven record of leading and winning complex captures in the federal market, ideally with contract values exceeding $50M.

    + Experience capturing complex digitally-led efforts.

    + Strong understanding of the federal procurement process.

    + Demonstrated success in qualifying and nurturing new or ongoing business opportunities.

    + Strong communication and inter-personal skills including verbal and presentation skills to individuals and groups, internally and externally.

    + Strong writing skills to include development of content incorporating key win themes in a clear and concise manner.

    + Superior proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc.).

    + Experience with CRM tools.

    + Active security clearance is preferred.

    This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of approximately $140,000 to $220,000, and may vary down by ten percent depending on candidate geographic location. Salary offers are made based on internal equity and market analysis.
