    Job Description

    Position Purpose:

    Responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations within the facility to include ensuring the facility is processing waste as safely and efficiently as possible each day, health, safety and environmental compliance issues and policies, quality assurance and control, provide technical expertise on operational modifications, hiring of subordinates, etc. Assists immediate supervisor in the annual preparation of goals versus forecasted budgeted allowances as well as conducting special exploratory assignments.

    Primary Duties /Responsibilities:

    + Day-to-day plant operations.

    + Enforces all compliance, health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with departmental and regional requirements.

    + Maintaining compliance with facility Part B, Air, Storm Water, DPCC/DCR and MCUA permits.

    + Oversee compliance with all OSHA, RCRA, EPA, NJDEP, DOT and all other governmental regulations.

    + Attends and arranges for all required training courses.

    + Oversees all daily production work to ensure optimum utilization of equipment and man hours vs. budget.

    + Inspecting the yard daily and completing the required daily inspection log.

    + Accompanying the NJDEP inspector during the weekly inspections.

    + Emergency coordinator duties.

    + Daily auditing of individual operations to ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) are being followed, up to date efficient and accurate.

    + Provide a "Facility Dashboard", "Productivity Report" and "Overtime Report" daily to the facility manager.

    + Write detailed SOP's as operations are added and or change.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education / Experience / Background:

    + BS in Chemistry or related science discipline

    + >10 years of hazardous waste experience preferred

    Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

    + Extensive knowledge in the following areas: OSHA, RCRA, EPA, NJDEP, DOT

    + Extensive knowledge of facility permits.

    + Knowledge of site capabilities, limitations and all operations.

    + Computer proficient in Word, Excel and Lotus Notes

    + Strong team player.

    + Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

    + Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines.

    + Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

    + Ability to create and prepare reports as necessary.

    Additional Information

    **Targeted Annual Pay Range:** Minimum of $80000 to a maximum of $95000
