Warehouse Supervisor

About the role:

WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Duluth, GA. This position supervises the activities related to warehousing and warehouse personnel by performing the required duties.

Primary Responsibilities:

+ Sorts and places items on racks, shelves, or in bins, according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

+ Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.

+ Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping.

+ Marks materials with identifying information.

+ Opens bales, crates, and other containers.

+ Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.

+ Uses computer to enter records, with basic knowledge of the software systems.

+ Operates forklift to transport stored items from shelves to package area for shipment.

+ Maintains inventory records.

+ Performs cycle counting on a regular basis.

+ Actively mentors and facilitates professional development among the team members.

+ Generates data and provides analysis revolving around improved efficiencies, cost savings, and increased sales.

+ Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization-s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance. Responsible for addressing employee complaints and resolving problems.

+ Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education:

+ High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred.

Knowledge / Training / Skills:

+ Proficiency driving a sit-down and stand-up forklift.

+ Order picking, shipping, receiving product, understanding how to piece orders together, and outbound product loading/unloading.

+ Product on racking, bulk storage and cycle counting.

+ Warehouse safety.

+ Business operating software.

+ MS Office.

+ Forklift.

+ Pallet Jack.

+ Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Experience:

+ 3+ years of related experience.
