Job Description
We are seeking a LPN to join our team in Infectious Disease at our Barry Road clinic. You will be providing discharge care tracking IV antibiotics and monitoring lab work to ensure patients complete on time; provide care to HIV patients; complete MRSA protocol; pre-certs; and direct patient care in clinic (eg: rooming, vitals, medication reconciliation, basic dressing changes, etc). The ideal candidate will be highly organized, task oriented, resourceful, and possess strong communication skills. The entire job description is below.
Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Responsible for screening walk-in patients, telephone screening (with protocols), medication/injection education, assist with procedures, cleaning wounds, dressing changes, suctioning, catheter insertion, tracheostomy care, biopsies, and other duties as assigned by respective clinic . Able to work in a team atmosphere, as well as, autonomously. Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times. Delegates tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel UAP in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice. May be responsible for covering Medical Assistant job duties as needed.
KS & MO LPN License required; if the ideal candidate does not possess dual licensure at time of offer, he/she may be given an offer contingent upon completion of dual licensure within 90 days of start

Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Licensed Practical Nurse - Various
